Nervous about speaking in public? It doesn’t have to be an ordeal
Jerry Seinfeld, the comic, once said: “According to most studies, people’s number one fear is public speaking. Number two is death. This means if you go to a funeral, you’re better off in the casket than doing the eulogy.”
Another entertainer, George Jessel, put it like this: “The human brain starts working the moment you are born and never stops until you stand up to speak in public.”
It doesn’t have to be like that.
With Halina’s help, our client found a stress-free way to engage her audience
Our client was talented, respected and popular. But she was very nervous about speaking in public. The more she prepared, the more nervous she got.
- Step one was to help the client think in terms of telling stories, rather than reciting facts.
- Step two was to come up with a dynamite ‘hook’ that would quickly engage the audience.
- Step three was to seamlessly connect the stories with the organization’s message.
“Flying colours all around. Amongst the comments – ‘some of the best training I’ve ever had with the government’. Many thanks to Halina for another crazy successful Talkitout.” – Alex Smith ACOA
